No. I have seen how a small pile can turn into the entire afternoon. Please let us choose a few, sit with them and stop before we are rushed. The remaining photographs have already learnt patience.

I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? The practical limit is that I need step-free venues for in-person plans.

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. I want to keep “Sort a few photographs with a friend” manageable for the people involved. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to visit a neighbourhood food market with a small budget. I have tried making a little space for low-waste cooking; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

I'd like a friend to visit for old songs and one small box of photographs. We can label only the pictures I choose and keep private ones private. Tea, a comfortable chair, no grand sorting campaign. The rest of the boxes have waited this long.

For this wish, Ben Tuala: For low-waste cooking, I would rather agree a small beginning than promise a long programme. Would that approach suit this wish?

I do not think “Sort a few photographs with a friend” needs to grow before it is worth trying. I would welcome a small practical suggestion and keep the extra possibilities for later.

Ben Tuala, no promises, but maybe.

For this wish, Alexander Viklund: That is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance.
