Community Guidelines
WishTree exists to help people share progress safely. These rules define what is allowed, what is prohibited, and how moderation is enforced.
Core Principles
- Respect people. Attack ideas, never identities.
- Protect privacy. Do not expose private data or identities.
- Share truthfully. Do not manipulate or falsify outcomes.
- Prioritize safety. Urgent harm concerns are handled first.
Prohibited Behavior
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, and coordinated abuse.
- Sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, and non-consensual sexual content.
- Violent extremism, graphic violence intended to shock, and calls for physical harm.
- Self-harm promotion, suicide encouragement, or instructions to self-injure.
- Fraud, scams, impersonation, phishing, or deceptive requests for money or credentials.
- Doxxing, stalking, and unauthorized disclosure of personal or private information.
- Manipulated or misleading content intended to cause concrete harm.
- Spam automation, synthetic engagement rings, and abusive growth tactics.
Content Integrity Requirements
- Post only content you created or have rights to share.
- Do not fabricate proof, progress evidence, or identity claims.
- Use accurate titles and descriptions when publishing wishes and outcomes.
- Respect creator boundaries and challenge-specific rules.
Reporting and Response
- Use the in-product report action on posts, profiles, or comments.
- Each report is queued, severity scored, and assigned to a moderator.
- Critical categories are prioritized for the fastest first-action SLA.
- Every moderation action is logged with actor, timestamp, and resolution.
Enforcement Actions
- Content actions: warning, visibility reduction, temporary hide, or permanent removal.
- Account actions: warning, temporary suspension, restricted privileges, or account removal.
- Escalations: critical safety threats are triaged immediately and may involve external authorities where legally required.
Appeals and Contact
If you believe an action was incorrect, contact safety@wishtree.app and include your account handle, affected content URL, and the action timestamp.
Appeals are reviewed in priority order with expedited handling for critical safety issues.
