Then we should learn one round slowly and keep the rules beside us. What part would you want explained first? I like a lively game, but I would rather hear a question than watch somebody pretend they understand.

On “Learn an elaborate card game with friends”, I might just watch the first time. I do not want an invitation that turns into pressure once I arrive. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I work some weekends.

That gives me something concrete to consider. I want to keep “Learn an elaborate card game with friends” manageable for the people involved. Then watching needs to remain an option throughout. I should make the invitation match that, rather than say it only to get someone through the door.

Litia Naidu, I would also like to learn to explain a game without a long rules lecture. For me, I work some weekends. I work as a bookkeeper, and I work some weekends. The help I would welcome is someone with practical experience. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

I'd love a few friends to join me for a card-game evening with the recorder switched off. Someone else can explain the rules, and I will ask the follow-up questions! Can we finish while it is still fun rather than wait for complete strategic mastery?

For this wish, Litia Naidu: I would welcome someone with practical experience. Is there something comparably small that another person could offer you?

I do not think “Learn an elaborate card game with friends” needs to grow before it is worth trying. I would welcome a small practical suggestion and keep the extra possibilities for later.

I'd try that, Litia Naidu.

For this wish, Kırat Manço: That is enough. I can come back with a clearer arrangement and let people decide then, rather than treat interest as attendance.
