Draw comic chickens with friends

Moana Fepulea'i

I'd like a quiet drawing afternoon with friends, making the most opinionated chickens we can imagine. We can exchange a page and share a simple vegetarian snack. I am coming as a person who likes drawing, not as the organiser of everyone's learning.

A small one would be welcome, but a drawing can be enough. Please leave room for each friend to choose their own chicken's business. We can share the table without giving everybody the same character.

I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I usually have more time in the morning.

That is useful feedback, even if we would choose differently. I want to keep “Draw comic chickens with friends” manageable for the people involved. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to draw one everyday object in ten minutes. I have tried making a little space for observational drawing; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

I keep thinking about your plan to draw comic chickens with friends. Would a brief first attempt tell you more than another round of planning?

I would keep the main wish in view: draw comic chickens with friends. A suggestion is useful if it helps that first attempt, rather than adding another project.

I like that this stayed small. My temptation would be to add three more things before starting. I would also like to draw one everyday object in ten minutes.

I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from. That is how I see “Draw comic chickens with friends”.
