I would distinguish a trick we cannot perform yet from one with an absurd premise. Either may entertain us, provided nobody is pressed to demonstrate. The disappearing afternoon is the effect I would prefer to avoid.

Noor Hassan, I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. One thing I should say upfront: I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

That is useful feedback, even if we would choose differently. I want to keep “Try impractical magic tricks with friends” manageable for the people involved. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to find a paddling club with clear access information. I have tried making a little space for water safety learning; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

I'd like a screen-free afternoon with friends practising harmless card or coin tricks using things we own. We can each show one trick, including the ones that fail charmingly. The main objective is company; making my phone disappear would be a useful bonus.

I am interested in trying water safety learning at a manageable scale. Would you prefer a practical suggestion or just some encouragement today?

I do not think “Try impractical magic tricks with friends” needs to grow before it is worth trying. I would welcome a small practical suggestion and keep the extra possibilities for later.

I like that this stayed small. My temptation would be to add three more things before starting. I would also like to find a paddling club with clear access information.

영미 류, I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from.
