Could we begin with a short rhythm and a few lines? Someone can suggest a tune, and we can say when we do not know. I'd like a little song, not an audition for an invisible orchestra.

On “Write a funny song with local music friends”, I would like to try something similar where I am. Would you mind comparing what needs adapting? I need to allow for this: I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

I can work with that distinction. I want to keep “Write a funny song with local music friends” manageable for the people involved. That would be useful. We should compare the conditions instead of assuming the same arrangement works in both places.

I would also like to record a short original track with the equipment I already own. I have tried making a little space for song arranging; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

I'd like to invite two friends to write a short song about an ordinary inconvenience, using instruments we already have. Could the missing bus become the drummer? We can keep it informal and agree credits if we later share a recording.

Would you want me to bring suggestions from song arranging, or would that pull your plan in the wrong direction?

I would keep “Write a funny song with local music friends” as one small invitation. A different version of a related wish could teach us something without either of us copying the other's whole plan.

Not for me yet, Andrés Pereira.

Karl-Otto Christoph, that helps me separate the purpose from the details. I can alter the activity without losing the reason for wanting to meet.
