Make household chores briefly theatrical

Luciana Ferreyra

I'd love an afternoon with my girlfriend and friends choosing songs and inventing absurd little performances for fictional chores. No one must actually clean my house; that would be a suspicious interpretation of community. We can finish with tea and a spectacular imaginary curtain call.

It could, especially if I start planning the performance instead of doing the task. I would keep it to one short scene and let the joke stop when it stops helping. The dust will not demand an encore.

Luciana Ferreyra, I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. My plan has to fit this: I cannot commit to every week.

That is useful feedback, even if we would choose differently. I want to keep “Make household chores briefly theatrical” manageable for the people involved. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to compare evidence before choosing one household change. I have tried making a little space for community events; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat. I work as a warehouse coordinator, and I cannot commit to every week. The help I would welcome is someone who enjoys checking sources. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

My own aim is to compare evidence before choosing one household change. Which part of your plan could we compare without assuming they are the same activity? That is how I see “Make household chores briefly theatrical”.

The part I want to try is already in “Make household chores briefly theatrical”. I would rather make room for that than collect more ideas I cannot fit into the day.

I like that this stayed small. My temptation would be to add three more things before starting. I would also like to compare evidence before choosing one household change. That is how I see “Make household chores briefly theatrical”.

Miguel Ángel Carbajal, I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from.
