Listening is a point too. I nearly said the whole point, which would be an ambitious claim for an afternoon. We can leave space for somebody who wants the music without the floor work.

I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. For me, I do best with short sessions and breaks.

I hear the reservation. I am not asking you to commit just by replying. I want to keep “Share tango records with friends” manageable for the people involved. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to record a short original track with the equipment I already own. For me, I do best with short sessions and breaks. I work as a part-time student and café worker, and I do best with short sessions and breaks. The help I would welcome is a patient practice partner. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

I'd like friends to join me after a short workshop tidy for a relaxed listening evening and simple food. The work ends before the music starts. We can each choose a record and tell its story, without turning the floor into an unpaid cleaning crew.

Javier Acosta, would making a TikTok turn this into a performance? I am not sure I would want a camera involved.

For this wish, Dan Wangari: Then we should leave the camera out. A short video is a separate choice, not a condition of joining the activity.

I like that this stayed small. My temptation would be to add three more things before starting. I would also like to record a short original track with the equipment I already own.

For this wish, Dan Wangari: I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from.
