I can ask for that boundary and keep it myself. Would a game count as a game, rather than a consultation with pieces? I would like to lose on my own behalf for once.

For this wish, Mateo Quispe: I might just watch the first time. I do not want an invitation that turns into pressure once I arrive. My plan has to fit this: I usually have more time in the morning.

I do not need everyone to choose the same version. I want to keep “Play chess without representing the cooperative” manageable for the people involved. Then watching needs to remain an option throughout. I should make the invitation match that, rather than say it only to get someone through the door.

I would also like to host a small meal that suits everyone’s dietary needs. For me, I usually have more time in the morning. I work as a retired construction planner, and I usually have more time in the morning. The help I would welcome is a tested beginner recipe. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

I would like a friend to meet me for one affordable café chess game, or at home if that suits our budgets. No visitor questions, no explanation of anyone's culture required. I hope to lose only the game, not my entire afternoon to work.

Mateo Quispe, my own aim is to host a small meal that suits everyone’s dietary needs. Which part of your plan could we compare without assuming they are the same activity?

For “Play chess without representing the cooperative”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

I would join the conversation again when the practical details are clearer. No promises beyond that yet. I would also like to host a small meal that suits everyone’s dietary needs. That is how I see “Play chess without representing the cooperative”.

On “Play chess without representing the cooperative”, that is enough. I can come back with a clearer arrangement and let people decide then, rather than treat interest as attendance.
