No. By postcard I mean a small format, not a duty to post it. I thought sending them was the obvious ending; perhaps choosing whether to send them is the better one.

Elena Paredes, I am interested in the company, less in producing a polished result. Would that fit? This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I usually have more time in the morning.

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. I want to keep “Paint postcards with friends” manageable for the people involved. It would fit the small version I have in mind. We can enjoy making an attempt without promising a polished outcome.

On “Paint postcards with friends”, I would also like to ask a relative whether they would like to record a short memory. I have tried making a little space for audio interviews; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

I would like a short local outing with friends followed by postcard painting at a shared table. We can exchange the cards or send them to people who would welcome one. A nearby doorway may offer as much to draw as a distant landscape—at least, I want to test that thought.

I would like to hear more about the part you actually enjoy in paint postcards with friends. What would you protect if the plan had to shrink?

“Paint postcards with friends” is the starting point, not a promise of a perfect result. I would ask what would make one attempt possible and listen to the answer.

Please leave room for someone to have a less positive experience too. I would also like to ask a relative whether they would like to record a short memory. That is how I see “Paint postcards with friends”.

I would want to hear that without defending every choice. People can share an afternoon and come away wanting different things. That is how I see “Paint postcards with friends”.
