The setting helps me slow down, although it is not a requirement for anyone else. We should close it if the conditions are uncomfortable. Would a short shared practice feel different from working alone?

I would like to try something similar where I am. Would you mind comparing what needs adapting? My plan has to fit this: I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

The useful part of this conversation is making the limits visible. I want to keep “Practise calligraphy beside an open window” manageable for the people involved. That would be useful. We should compare the conditions instead of assuming the same arrangement works in both places.

I would also like to write down what makes an outing comfortable for me. For me, I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

I want to invite a neighbour for a quiet hour of calligraphy using our existing brushes and paper. We can exchange one piece and discuss what made it difficult. A shared table and a comfortable chair may be enough for a useful afternoon.

With quiet cafés, I tend to notice how much preparation sits behind the nice result. What would you leave out here?

For “Practise calligraphy beside an open window”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

On “Practise calligraphy beside an open window”, I think the company is the part I would keep, even if the rest changed. For my own plan, I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

That helps me separate the purpose from the details. I can alter the activity without losing the reason for wanting to meet. That is how I see “Practise calligraphy beside an open window”.
