I would keep work outside it. Food first, then whichever strange world someone wants to discuss. Please choose a time when I am actually off duty; my working hours are not stretchy.

For this wish, Akiko Fujita: I like the idea, but I cannot promise to turn up. Can I stay in the conversation without saying yes? This is why I am keeping the plan modest: my work rota changes from week to week.

That gives me something concrete to consider. I want to keep “Share science fiction over a late breakfast” manageable for the people involved. Yes. Staying curious is enough for now. I would rather have an honest maybe than a yes that makes someone uncomfortable.

I would also like to plan an affordable away-day with friends. For me, my work rota changes from week to week. That is how I see “Share science fiction over a late breakfast”.

I'd love a morning off with two friends, a short science-fiction story and something freshly baked. Read first, eat second, debate the spaceship afterwards. I want to put work away by the time everyone arrives.

I am interested in trying women’s football at a manageable scale. Would you prefer a practical suggestion or just some encouragement today?

I would keep “Share science fiction over a late breakfast” as one small invitation. A different version of a related wish could teach us something without either of us copying the other's whole plan.

On “Share science fiction over a late breakfast”, could the next update include the awkward bits as well as what went well? I would also like to plan an affordable away-day with friends.

On “Share science fiction over a late breakfast”, yes. I want to keep track of what was workable, what took more effort than expected and what I would leave out next time.
