If it becomes that, we stop. I mean a small shared observation, not a reliable forecasting service. Nobody should postpone a journey because my notebook admired a cloud.

On “Write the neighbourhood weather report together”, could someone join for only the first part? I would not want to disrupt the plan by leaving early. I cannot ignore the fact that I usually have more time in the morning.

I hear the reservation. I am not asking you to commit just by replying. I want to keep “Write the neighbourhood weather report together” manageable for the people involved. I would plan a natural stopping point and say clearly which parts depend on everybody staying. Leaving should not become a personal explanation.

I would also like to learn to recognise three constellations from my neighbourhood. For me, I usually have more time in the morning.

I would like a neighbour to meet me for a regular-looking but one-off tea and weather notebook session. We can each write three observations. Mine may accuse the rain of poor timekeeping. No outdoor trip required if my hands are stiff.

Would you want me to bring suggestions from stargazing, or would that pull your plan in the wrong direction?

I would protect the time together in “Write the neighbourhood weather report together”. The exact result matters less to me than an arrangement people can enjoy without pressure.

For this wish, Daichi Sato: I would try a smaller version of my own first. Then we would have something concrete to compare. I would also like to learn to recognise three constellations from my neighbourhood.

That seems a sensible way to continue. We can compare actual attempts later without turning this conversation into a promise that either of us has already finished. That is how I see “Write the neighbourhood weather report together”.
