Learn why sign languages differ between regions

Susanna Petersson

I am returning after a break with sign language learning. I would like this to fit everyday life: I prefer daytime meetups close to home. I would welcome someone with practical experience.

The sign language learning part caught my attention. Honestly, this sounds better on a wish list than in a calendar.

桃子 田中, that is fair criticism. I need to choose a time I can manage rather than keep improving the description. I cannot ignore the fact that I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

On “Learn why sign languages differ between regions”, I am still sceptical, but a date would make it a different conversation. Could someone join for only the first part? I would not want to disrupt the plan by leaving early.

That is useful feedback, even if we would choose differently. With sign language learning, I am returning after a break. I would plan a natural stopping point and say clearly which parts depend on everybody staying. Leaving should not become a personal explanation.

I would also like to learn why sign languages differ between regions. I have tried making a little space for sign language learning; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn why sign languages differ between regions. My plan has to fit this: I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

For this wish, Susanna Petersson: I keep thinking about your plan to learn why sign languages differ between regions. Would a brief first attempt tell you more than another round of planning?

For “Learn why sign languages differ between regions”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

I would try a smaller version of my own first. Then we would have something concrete to compare. I would also like to learn why sign languages differ between regions.

On “Learn why sign languages differ between regions”, that seems a sensible way to continue. We can compare actual attempts later without turning this conversation into a promise that either of us has already finished. The help I would value is someone with practical experience.
