That is fine. A conversation does not have to turn into a signup. It can still help me think through the plan. The practical limit is that I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

On “Share something I learn about bilingual reading”, I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? I cannot ignore the fact that I am rebuilding confidence after a long break.

I would keep the first version small enough to find out. With bilingual reading, I am returning after a break. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to learn the phrases for a simple everyday conversation. For me, I am rebuilding confidence after a long break.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn the phrases for a simple everyday conversation. My plan has to fit this: I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

For this wish, Nicola Pearce: Would making a TikTok turn this into a performance? I am not sure I would want a camera involved.

On “Share something I learn about bilingual reading”, then we should leave the camera out. A short video is a separate choice, not a condition of joining the activity.

Count me as interested, Nicola Pearce.

That is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance. The help I would value is a welcoming local recommendation. That is how I see “Share something I learn about bilingual reading”.
