If the practical conditions do not work, or people cannot comfortably take part. Cancelling once is better than treating the plan as an obligation. The practical limit is that I am rebuilding confidence after a long break.

For this wish, Jesús Peña: I would want that said in the invitation. It makes a cautious yes possible. I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help?

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. With quiet viewpoints, I am keen to learn with others. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to find a waterside route with step-free access and seating. I have tried making a little space for quiet viewpoints; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat. I work as a graphic designer, and I do best with short sessions and breaks. The help I would welcome is a patient practice partner. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to ask a visitor centre about accessible waterside activities. For me, I am rebuilding confidence after a long break.

I am interested in trying quiet viewpoints at a manageable scale. Would you prefer a practical suggestion or just some encouragement today?

I would keep “Ask a visitor centre about accessible waterside activities” as one small invitation. A different version of a related wish could teach us something without either of us copying the other's whole plan.

I am still not completely convinced, but I would read a follow-up after you try it. I would also like to find a waterside route with step-free access and seating.

On “Ask a visitor centre about accessible waterside activities”, that is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance. The help I would value is a patient practice partner.
