It might be easier alone. I want some company as well as the activity; that is a separate part of the wish. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

Rabea Klingelhöfer, I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. For me, I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

I would like room to change the arrangement after the first attempt. With cooperative board games, I am a regular amateur. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to find a local board-game borrowing scheme. For me, I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to try a game recommended by someone with different tastes. I cannot ignore the fact that I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

Would you want me to bring suggestions from cooperative board games, or would that pull your plan in the wrong direction?

For “Try a game recommended by someone with different tastes”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

Rabea Klingelhöfer, no promises, but maybe.

Louis Smith, I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from. The help I would value is a welcoming local recommendation.
