Find a workable first step for sky journals

My own wish is to make a simple guide to finding north after dark. Why does this need a group? It sounds easier alone.

It might be easier alone. I want some company as well as the activity; that is a separate part of the wish. The practical limit is that I am rebuilding confidence after a long break.

Gavin Radhakrishnan, I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? One thing I should say upfront: I prefer borrowing equipment before buying it.

I would keep the first version small enough to find out. With sky journals, I am returning after a break. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.
