I would welcome a useful beginner resource. Why does this need a group? It sounds easier alone.

It might be easier alone. I want some company as well as the activity; that is a separate part of the wish. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I rely on public transport for most outings. That is how I see “Share something I learn about pond observation”.

I would like room to change the arrangement after the first attempt. With pond observation, I am a regular amateur. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I like that this stayed small. My temptation would be to add three more things before starting. I would also like to help check a local nature trail information board.

For this wish, Maria Olson: I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from. The help I would value is someone with practical experience.
