For this wish, Marica Kusch: Neither would I. I want a clear finish for the first attempt, with a separate decision about doing more. I do best with short sessions and breaks.

Paula Burton, on “Learn to check equipment before climbing”: A finish time changes it for me. Enthusiasm is easier when I know I can leave. I am interested in the company, less in producing a polished result. Would that fit? That is how I see “Learn to check equipment before climbing”.

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. With skateboarding, I am comfortable with the basics. It would fit the small version I have in mind. We can enjoy making an attempt without promising a polished outcome.

I would also like to learn to check equipment before climbing. I have tried making a little space for skateboarding; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn to check equipment before climbing. My plan has to fit this: I do best with short sessions and breaks.

Paula Burton, would a Facebook conversation help find local company, or would you rather agree the details here?

For this wish, Marica Kusch: I would use a wider conversation to find interest, then keep one clear place for the actual arrangements. I do not want people comparing several conflicting versions.

On “Learn to check equipment before climbing”, please leave room for someone to have a less positive experience too. I would also like to learn to check equipment before climbing.

On “Learn to check equipment before climbing”, I would want to hear that without defending every choice. People can share an afternoon and come away wanting different things. The help I would value is advice about borrowing suitable equipment.
