Sign in to join the discussionI am just starting with community events. This is the sort of modest plan I actually want to hear about. What might get in the way?

Probably trying to fit too much into it. I would rather leave one part unfinished than make the whole thing difficult to attend. I need to allow for this: I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

I like the idea, but I cannot promise to turn up. Can I stay in the conversation without saying yes? For me, I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

I do not need everyone to choose the same version. With community events, I am experienced but still curious. Yes. Staying curious is enough for now. I would rather have an honest maybe than a yes that makes someone uncomfortable.

I would also like to help with an authorised community planting project. For me, I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to compare evidence before choosing one household change. I need to allow for this: I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

Would you want me to bring suggestions from community events, or would that pull your plan in the wrong direction?

I would keep the main wish in view: compare evidence before choosing one household change. A suggestion is useful if it helps that first attempt, rather than adding another project.

Could the next update include the awkward bits as well as what went well? I would also like to help with an authorised community planting project.

Yes. I want to keep track of what was workable, what took more effort than expected and what I would leave out next time. The help I would value is a reliable local contact. That is how I see “Compare evidence before choosing one household change”.
