I am not aiming for originality. I would like an ordinary activity to fit into my life and include some company. I keep a small monthly hobby budget.

I am interested in the company, less in producing a polished result. Would that fit? One thing I should say upfront: I cannot commit to every week.

I would keep the first version small enough to find out. With shared cooking, I am returning after a break. It would fit the small version I have in mind. We can enjoy making an attempt without promising a polished outcome.

For this wish, Marlen Stiffel: I would also like to learn to cook a bean variety I have not tried. For me, I cannot commit to every week.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn a reliable egg-free cake recipe. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I keep a small monthly hobby budget.

For this wish, Marlen Stiffel: Would a Facebook conversation help find local company, or would you rather agree the details here?

I would use a wider conversation to find interest, then keep one clear place for the actual arrangements. I do not want people comparing several conflicting versions. That is how I see “Find a workable first step for shared cooking”.

I'd try that, Marlen Stiffel.

I would want to hear that without defending every choice. People can share an afternoon and come away wanting different things. The help I would value is someone willing to compare first attempts. That is how I see “Find a workable first step for shared cooking”.
