No. Agreeing a plan should not require explaining private circumstances. We can make arrivals and departures straightforward. I need to allow for this: I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

영호 홍, that little detail would make me more likely to try it. I like the idea, but I cannot promise to turn up. Can I stay in the conversation without saying yes?

I want to give it a try without pretending the concerns have vanished. With surfing, I am a regular amateur. Yes. Staying curious is enough for now. I would rather have an honest maybe than a yes that makes someone uncomfortable.

I would also like to practise kayaking with a local club. I have tried making a little space for surfing; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat. I work as a bookkeeper, and I prefer borrowing equipment before buying it. The help I would welcome is company for a supervised first session. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn basic skateboard balance in a permitted practice area. One thing I should say upfront: I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

With surfing, I tend to notice how much preparation sits behind the nice result. What would you leave out here?

I would protect the time together in “Share something I learn about surfing”. The exact result matters less to me than an arrangement people can enjoy without pressure.

영호 홍, no promises, but maybe.

On “Share something I learn about surfing”, yes. I want to keep track of what was workable, what took more effort than expected and what I would leave out next time. The help I would value is company for a supervised first session.
