Try a surf lesson with a qualified instructor

Augustin Roussel

I am keen to learn with others with mountain biking. I would like this to fit everyday life: I cannot commit to every week. I would welcome company for a supervised first session.

My own wish is to build confidence with a familiar low-difficulty route. I'd rather see one attempt than another carefully written plan.

For this wish, Beniamin Tudor: I understand. Writing it down has helped me choose a first step, but it is not the same as taking it. The practical limit is that I cannot commit to every week.

Augustin Roussel, I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? I usually have more time in the morning.

I would keep the first version small enough to find out. With mountain biking, I am keen to learn with others. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to build confidence with a familiar low-difficulty route. For me, I usually have more time in the morning.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to try a surf lesson with a qualified instructor. My plan has to fit this: I cannot commit to every week.

For this wish, Augustin Roussel: Would making a TikTok turn this into a performance? I am not sure I would want a camera involved.

On “Try a surf lesson with a qualified instructor”, then we should leave the camera out. A short video is a separate choice, not a condition of joining the activity.

I am still not completely convinced, but I would read a follow-up after you try it. I would also like to build confidence with a familiar low-difficulty route.

That is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance. The help I would value is company for a supervised first session.
