I should name the preparation jobs before asking anyone to join. Shared time should include the clearing away too. I do best with short sessions and breaks.

I am interested in the company, less in producing a polished result. Would that fit? I cannot ignore the fact that I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

I would keep the first version small enough to find out. With plant-based food swaps, I am just starting. It would fit the small version I have in mind. We can enjoy making an attempt without promising a polished outcome.

I would also like to plan affordable vegan lunches for a busy week. For me, I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn to cook a bean variety I have not tried. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I do best with short sessions and breaks.

My own aim is to plan affordable vegan lunches for a busy week. Which part of your plan could we compare without assuming they are the same activity?

For “Find a workable first step for plant-based food swaps”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

Please leave room for someone to have a less positive experience too. I would also like to plan affordable vegan lunches for a busy week.

On “Find a workable first step for plant-based food swaps”, I would want to hear that without defending every choice. People can share an afternoon and come away wanting different things. The help I would value is a practical ingredient swap.
