Plan a short accessible nature outing

David Francis

I am returning after a break with accessible trail mapping. I would like this to fit everyday life: I share my free time with family responsibilities. I would welcome someone who enjoys stopping to look closely.

The accessible trail mapping part caught my attention. What would make you cancel rather than push through?

If the practical conditions do not work, or people cannot comfortably take part. Cancelling once is better than treating the plan as an obligation. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I share my free time with family responsibilities.

On “Plan a short accessible nature outing”, I would want that said in the invitation. It makes a cautious yes possible. I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself.

That is useful feedback, even if we would choose differently. With accessible trail mapping, I am returning after a break. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to keep a simple seasonal nature notebook. I have tried making a little space for accessible trail mapping; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to plan a short accessible nature outing. I need to allow for this: I share my free time with family responsibilities.

For accessible trail mapping, I would rather agree a small beginning than promise a long programme. Would that approach suit this wish?

I would protect the time together in “Plan a short accessible nature outing”. The exact result matters less to me than an arrangement people can enjoy without pressure.

I'm still unsure, David Francis.

I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from. The help I would value is someone who enjoys stopping to look closely.
