Share something I learn about family recipes

James Ryan

A useful note or a small example could help another beginner. I want to try it myself first.

I am trying to make room for family recipes. Could you share what did not work afterwards, not only the nice picture?

On “Share something I learn about family recipes”, yes. A useful note should include the awkward part and what I would change, without exposing anyone else's private experience. I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

James Ryan, that would be worth reading. A polished photo rarely answers my practical questions. I am interested in the company, less in producing a polished result. Would that fit?

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. With family recipes, I am keen to learn with others. It would fit the small version I have in mind. We can enjoy making an attempt without promising a polished outcome.

I would also like to reduce food waste with a useful leftovers routine. I have tried making a little space for family recipes; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn to use a seasonal ingredient. The practical limit is that I am still finding my way around a new neighbourhood.

I would like to hear more about the part you actually enjoy in share something I learn about family recipes. What would you protect if the plan had to shrink?

The part I want to try is already in “Share something I learn about family recipes”. I would rather make room for that than collect more ideas I cannot fit into the day.

James Ryan, please leave room for someone to have a less positive experience too. I would also like to reduce food waste with a useful leftovers routine.

For this wish, Breno da Paz: I would want to hear that without defending every choice. People can share an afternoon and come away wanting different things. The help I would value is a patient cooking companion.
