Sign in to join the discussionI am trying to make room for football games. The idea is lovely. The preparation sounds less lovely. Who handles that?

I should name the preparation jobs before asking anyone to join. Shared time should include the clearing away too. The practical limit is that I need step-free venues for in-person plans. That is how I see “Learn clear callouts without talking over teammates”.

That is the part people forget. I would rather have fewer activities and shared cleanup. I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? That is how I see “Learn clear callouts without talking over teammates”.

I would keep the invitation more modest than the enthusiasm. With football games, I am comfortable with the basics. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to learn the basics of a new strategy game. I have tried making a little space for football games; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn clear callouts without talking over teammates. For me, I need step-free venues for in-person plans.

On “Learn clear callouts without talking over teammates”, would you put this on LinkedIn, or would that make a small personal wish feel like a work achievement?

I would share a useful lesson there only if I wanted that audience. I do not want every pleasant activity to become evidence of professional productivity. That is how I see “Learn clear callouts without talking over teammates”.

I am still not completely convinced, but I would read a follow-up after you try it. I would also like to learn the basics of a new strategy game.

That is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance. The help I would value is a team with predictable hours.
