Share something I learn about community gardening

Manuel Chan

A useful note or a small example could help another beginner. I want to try it myself first.

This connects with my interest in community gardening. How would you stop the most confident person taking over?

Agree turns where they help, and ask before advising. I would also need to notice when I am the one taking over. I need to allow for this: my work rota changes from week to week.

For this wish, Manuel Chan: The last part matters. It is easy to make rules only for everybody else. I like the idea, but I cannot promise to turn up. Can I stay in the conversation without saying yes?

I want to give it a try without pretending the concerns have vanished. With community gardening, I am just starting. Yes. Staying curious is enough for now. I would rather have an honest maybe than a yes that makes someone uncomfortable.

I would also like to join a local climate volunteer session. I have tried making a little space for community gardening; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to prepare a plain-language climate learning evening. One thing I should say upfront: my work rota changes from week to week.

Could the next update include the awkward bits as well as what went well? I would also like to join a local climate volunteer session. That is how I see “Share something I learn about community gardening”.

Marisa Ayuso, yes. I want to keep track of what was workable, what took more effort than expected and what I would leave out next time. The help I would value is a reliable local contact.
