Mostly company, with practical questions answered together. I should not quietly hand the organising to whoever replies first. For me, I usually have more time in the morning.

For this wish, Mia de Bock: Thanks for separating those. I am happy to discuss an idea without becoming its coordinator. If there is a way to join a small version, I would be interested. What would you need to know first?

I can work with that distinction. With trail navigation, I am experienced but still curious. We would need to agree the practical details and whether it suits both of us. Interest here is not a booking or an obligation.

I would also like to learn to check equipment before climbing. I have tried making a little space for trail navigation; the difficult part was keeping the session small enough to repeat.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to book an introductory climbing lesson. I cannot ignore the fact that I usually have more time in the morning.

I keep thinking about your plan to find a workable first step for trail navigation. Would a brief first attempt tell you more than another round of planning?

For this attempt at “Find a workable first step for trail navigation”, honest encouragement would help. Practical suggestions are welcome too, provided we leave room to decide against them.

Mia de Bock, what would make you change the first version after hearing all this? For my own plan, I have limited room for equipment at home.

선영 박, I would change whatever makes joining harder without adding much to the experience. The main wish can stay; the arrangement does not have to be fixed. The help I would value is a beginner-friendly club.
