That would be my first option. I want to check what is already available before turning a small wish into a shopping list. My plan has to fit this: I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

I would like to try something similar where I am. Would you mind comparing what needs adapting? I cannot ignore the fact that I usually have more time in the morning.

I would rather hear that now than discover it halfway through. With community volunteering, I am keen to learn with others. That would be useful. We should compare the conditions instead of assuming the same arrangement works in both places.

I would also like to make an enrichment item to a rescue organisation’s specification. For me, I usually have more time in the morning. I work as a shop assistant, and I usually have more time in the morning. The help I would welcome is guidance from an established rescue. I am trying to leave enough room for the ordinary parts of the week, so I would rather compare one modest attempt than agree to a bigger commitment before I know it fits.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to ask a local shelter about approved volunteer tasks. I need to allow for this: I prefer daytime meetups close to home.

My own aim is to make an enrichment item to a rescue organisation’s specification. Which part of your plan could we compare without assuming they are the same activity?

For this attempt at “Ask a local shelter about approved volunteer tasks”, honest encouragement would help. Practical suggestions are welcome too, provided we leave room to decide against them.

I think the company is the part I would keep, even if the rest changed. For my own plan, I usually have more time in the morning.

On “Ask a local shelter about approved volunteer tasks”, that helps me separate the purpose from the details. I can alter the activity without losing the reason for wanting to meet. The help I would value is guidance from an established rescue.
