Learn a reliable everyday bread recipe

Angela Adetokunbo

I am comfortable with the basics with fermentation. I would like this to fit everyday life: I prefer quieter places and smaller groups. I would welcome an affordable ingredient substitution.

I would welcome a patient cooking companion. Could you share what did not work afterwards, not only the nice picture?

Reply to Rachel Garrett

Yes. A useful note should include the awkward part and what I would change, without exposing anyone else's private experience. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

I would enjoy talking about the attempts afterwards. I am not sure about joining the activity itself. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I share my free time with family responsibilities.

I would like room to change the arrangement after the first attempt. With fermentation, I am comfortable with the basics. That is a useful distinction. A conversation afterwards can be its own invitation, without requiring someone to take part in everything.

I would also like to make weekday lunches less repetitive. For me, I share my free time with family responsibilities.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to learn a reliable everyday bread recipe. I cannot ignore the fact that I prefer quieter places and smaller groups.

With fermentation, I tend to notice how much preparation sits behind the nice result. What would you leave out here?

On “Learn a reliable everyday bread recipe”, the part I want to try is already in “Learn a reliable everyday bread recipe”. I would rather make room for that than collect more ideas I cannot fit into the day.

I would keep the extra ideas somewhere separate. One manageable attempt gives the bigger ideas something to learn from. The help I would value is an affordable ingredient substitution.
