Reply to Elizabeth Fahy
If the practical conditions do not work, or people cannot comfortably take part. Cancelling once is better than treating the plan as an obligation. The practical limit is that I prefer borrowing equipment before buying it.

I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? I need to allow for this: I have limited room for equipment at home.

I can leave that question open until the practical details are clearer. With puzzle games, I am returning after a break. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would also like to find teammates who keep to agreed session times. For me, I have limited room for equipment at home.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to help host a respectful community tournament. My plan has to fit this: I prefer borrowing equipment before buying it.

I would like to hear more about the part you actually enjoy in help host a respectful community tournament. What would you protect if the plan had to shrink?
Reply to Elizabeth Fahy
Elizabeth Fahy, I would keep “Help host a respectful community tournament” as one small invitation. A different version of a related wish could teach us something without either of us copying the other's whole plan.

I am still not completely convinced, but I would read a follow-up after you try it. I would also like to find teammates who keep to agreed session times.

Elizabeth Fahy, that is fair. I would rather return with an honest account of an attempt than ask you to be enthusiastic in advance. The help I would value is a team with predictable hours.
