A beginner should not be a problem in an invitation that welcomes beginners. I need to choose a pace that makes that true. For me, I work some weekends.

If there is a way to join a small version, I would be interested. What would you need to know first? My plan has to fit this: I do best with short sessions and breaks.

The useful part of this conversation is making the limits visible. With shared cooking, I am just starting. We would need to agree the practical details and whether it suits both of us. Interest here is not a booking or an obligation.

I would also like to plan affordable vegan lunches for a busy week. For me, I do best with short sessions and breaks.

That gives us two related aims to compare. I would like to host a plant-based meal with friends. This is why I am keeping the plan modest: I work some weekends.

I would welcome a practical ingredient swap. Is there something comparably small that another person could offer you?

For “Host a plant-based meal with friends”, I would first settle what each person can comfortably offer. Then I would choose the smallest arrangement that still feels worthwhile.

Not for me yet, James Chukwu.

For this wish, Irfan Andriani: I would change whatever makes joining harder without adding much to the experience. The main wish can stay; the arrangement does not have to be fixed. The help I would value is a welcoming cooking group.
