Coming at this through community events, I have a question. The idea is lovely. The preparation sounds less lovely. Who handles that?

I should name the preparation jobs before asking anyone to join. Shared time should include the clearing away too. The practical limit is that I prefer borrowing equipment before buying it.

I would be up for comparing attempts, even if joining in person is not practical. Would that help? One thing I should say upfront: I need step-free venues for in-person plans.

I can leave that question open until the practical details are clearer. With community events, I am returning after a break. Comparing a small attempt could work without pretending we are in the same place. We can agree what to share and leave private details out.

I would protect the time together in “Learn how to read my home energy use”. The exact result matters less to me than an arrangement people can enjoy without pressure.
